Most “healthy” hampers are a box of things nobody actually wants — a sachet of something worthy, a novelty condiment, packing straw. This one is built the other way round: five things a person will genuinely eat, all certified organic, two of them award-winning chocolate.

What’s in the hamper

• Organic 55% Chocolate with Sea Salt & Caramel, Chocolate & Love — 80g. A Great Taste Award winner. Caramel crunch against a dash of sea salt, with cacao bought directly from Fairtrade cooperatives in Peru and the Dominican Republic. The judges called it “well balanced and delicious… the salty finish left us craving more.”
• Organic Toasted Hazelnut Dark Chocolate, Bennetto — 80g. 60% cocoa with 12% toasted hazelnuts, made in Switzerland from certified organic, fair trade ingredients. Vegan, gluten free, B Corp certified and net climate positive.
• Organic Cashew Nuts Whole, Stock & Bite — 1kg. One ingredient, nothing added. 17g protein per 100g. A full kilo, so it outlasts the chocolate by some margin.
• Organic Cacao Nibs, Whole Food Earth. Crushed raw cacao beans from Peru — chocolate before anything is added to it. No sugar, properly bitter, brilliant scattered over porridge or stirred through cookie dough.
• Organic Dried Mango Slices, Whole Food Earth. Chewy, intensely sweet, no added sugar. From Burkina Faso.

Why it is a good gift

It is not padding. Five real items, no filler. The cashews alone are a kilo.

Ideas

Cacao nibs through morning porridge or a smoothie. Cashews blended into cashew cream or butter, or thrown into a curry. Mango slices chopped into baking, or eaten as they are. The chocolate needs no instructions.

Storage

Store the nuts, nibs and mango in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and damp — transfer to airtight containers once opened, as the bags are not resealable. Keep the chocolate out of sunlight, between 15 and 18°C.

How should I store it?

Keep the nuts, nibs and mango in a cool, dry place, decanted into airtight containers once opened. Keep the chocolate out of sunlight at 15–18°C.
