USA-grown light walnuts graded at 80% halves, with the remainder in large pieces — a near-premium look at a friendlier price. The pale kernels have a mild, crunchy taste, the skin is left on, and there is no added sugar or salt. Walnuts provide 14.7g of protein per 100g and are naturally rich in plant omega-3 (ALA).

What does 80% halves mean? Around eight in ten kernels are whole halves and the rest are large pieces — the look of halves at a lower price than fully graded ones. For organic whole halves, see organic walnut halves.
What does "light" mean? The paler premium colour grade — light golden kernels rather than darker amber ones.
What if looks don't matter? Light broken walnuts (quarters) are the same light grade broken down, at a lower price per kilo — ideal for baking.
