Why Should I Get Oat Groats ?

This toasting also stabilises the grain and prevents it from becoming rancid by deactivating lipase, a bitter-tasting enzyme. What remains is a whole grain groat, which has the fibre-rich bran, nutritious germ, and the endosperm, which comprises the bulk of the grain.
