About our currants

How to use currants
Bake them into fruit loaves, scones, Eccles cakes, hot cross buns and mincemeat, or scatter over porridge and muesli.
Frequently asked questions about currants
What's the difference between currants, raisins and sultanas?
All are dried grapes; currants are the smallest and tangiest, raisins are larger and sweeter, sultanas are golden and juicy.
Are dried currants the same as fresh blackcurrants?
No — these are dried grapes, not the berry blackcurrant.
How should I store currants?
Keep them airtight in a cool, dry place and reseal after opening.
