Description

Nóstimo Organic Haricot Beans are small, creamy white beans (also known as navy beans) packed simply in water and ready to eat. The can holds just two ingredients — organic haricot beans and water — with no added salt or sugar, so the natural, mild flavour of the bean does the work. They are part of the Nóstimo Italian Collection, our Mediterranean range canned in Italy and certified organic to IT-BIO-007.

Nutritionally they earn their place in the cupboard: high in fibre and high in protein at, while staying naturally low in fat and low in salt. That makes them an easy way to add plant protein and fibre to everyday cooking. Being pre-cooked, there is no soaking or overnight prep — just open, drain and rinse, and they are ready for the pan or the bowl.

Haricot beans are wonderfully versatile. They are the classic bean behind homemade baked beans, and they hold their shape beautifully in Tuscan soups like ribollita and minestrone, in cassoulet, in bean salads, and blended into smooth dips. Each 400g can gives roughly 240g of drained beans. Once opened, transfer any unused beans to a non-metallic container, refrigerate and use within three days.

Why you'll like it

  • High in fibre and protein — 7.5g fibre and 6.4g protein per 100g make these creamy white beans a satisfying, plant-forward store-cupboard staple.
  • Ready to eat — drain, rinse and add straight to salads, soups, stews and dips; no soaking and no long simmering.
  • Just two ingredients — organic haricot beans and water, with no added salt or sugar.
  • Naturally low in fat and salt — 0.6g fat and 0.05g salt per 100g, with no saturated fat.
  • 400g can (240g drained), certified organic to IT-BIO-007 and canned in Italy as part of the Nóstimo Italian Collection.
