Description
Tempeh is a vegetarian alternative to meat, made from whole fermented soya beans. Originating from Indonesia, it is made from the whole soya beans, which means it has a good level of fibre.
Use in place of meat in a stir-fry, ramen or any other oriental dishes, it's easy, just pan fry it and voilà!
Why not try it sliced and fried on its own as a savoury snack? It’s a very good source of protein.
As this tempeh is in a jar, it is more moist than fresh tempeh and takes a little longer to cook, but will retain a more moist and soft texture inside.
