What Are Organic Soya Chunks?

Soya Chunks, also known as textured vegetable protein (TVP) are composed of defatted soya flour and make for a cheap, nutritious and harm-free alternative to meat.

Soya is the cheapest most widely consumed source of Protein on Earth and is one of a select few vegetative products that produces all of the nine essential amino acids your body needs. This is just the tip of the iceberg however as more importantly (and very luckily for us) it can take on any flavour that comes at it, being prepared in a seemingly infinite amount of different ways.

A testament to soya's versatility are the various transformations into a number of popular soya based foods like - Miso, Tempeh, Tofu, Soy Milk, Soy Sauce...There's simply too many to list them all!

Our organic soya chunks are an ideal substitute for meat regardless of your dietary preference, they come as large cubes/chunks of textured soya and are very easy to cook and cook with, absorbing all flavours and integrating easily with many dishes.

Instructions For Use:

To Cook: Soak in hot water or vegetable stock for 10-15 minutes until the chunks have expanded prior to cooking (roughly 1 cup TVP to 7/8 cups stock) Once fully expanded & water has been soaked up it is ready to use. Add to stir fries, curries & cook until warmed through completely

Storage Instructions:

Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.
