All About Organic Barley Flour (Stoneground):
Our creamy coloured barley flour is milled from whole organic barley, using a traditional stoneground process. Stoneground means the flour has been made by crushing the grain between two large stones.
Barely is an excellent alternative to white wheat as it provides more health benefits than wheat. It has a higher fibre content and undergoes less processing, meaning it loses fewer nutrients. It is also a good source of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.
Barley flour has a sweet, nutty taste which can be added to your favourite baked recipes for additional flavour and nutrition, plus a wonderfully tender texture.
Instructions For Use:
Barley flour easily substituted or added to all-purpose flour in most recipes. Use it to create flatbreads, pancakes, biscuits, and cookies. When baking with barley flour, use less than you would with wheat flour.
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.
