Soda bread is a type of quick bread which takes its name from the baking soda (or, sodium bicarbonate) that is used as a leavening agent instead of the traditional yeast.
Neither wholemeal nor white, large pieces of rolled whole wheat and bran give the flour a beautiful, flecked appearance. Traditionally used for soda bread this 85% extraction flour gives a delicious nutty flavour. It is wonderful mixed with organic white flour, and a seed blend.
Instructions For Use:
Use this flour to quickly rustle up a warm, homemade soda bread. For a traditional recipe, just add baking soda, salt, and buttermilk to this flour. You can also add seeds or dried fruit for a different flavour combination.
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.
