Easy to prepare, tastier than any store bought jam, filled with healthy chia seeds and blueberries. Yum yum in the tum.
Lush Blueberry Chia Jam
1 1/2 Cup Blueberries (frozen or fresh)
1 1/2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Agave nectar
A squeeze of lemon juice
Add the blueberries to a small pot over medium-high heat.
As the fruit starts to break up and release its juices use a masher or a wooden spoon to mash the berries into a puree-like consistency
Once the fruit is mostly broken down, remove from the heat, and stir in the maple syrup and chia seeds.
Allow to cool down completely.
Transfer into a small jar and place in the fridge The longer the jam is allowed to rest, the thicker it will get.
*Keeps in the fridge for about a week
**Stored in an airtight container lasts frozen for up to 3 months
