Diatomaceous Earth can be used to improve dental hygiene while still keeping your brushing routine short.DE is a mild abrader making it a useful cleanser for your teeth. Diatomaceous earth absorbs stains along with any harmful toxins leaving the teeth clean and smooth.There are a few ways to use DE as toothpaste.
*This toothpaste is intended for weekly- monthly use however, we recommend its use according to your needs and to consult your GP or orthodontist beforehand.

Activated Charcoal
Directions
The first is very simple;
Wet your toothbrush
Dip the toothbrush bristles in DE
Add your toothpaste on top and brush as usual
A variation on the above method is to;
Take a small container with a lid that seals tightly
Add about a teaspoon of DE into the container
Slowly add in toothpaste
Mix until mixture is completely combined
Brush your teeth with DE enhanced toothpaste
One last option would be a full DIY for toothpaste;
Take a small container with a lid that seals tightly
Add about a tablespoon of DE into the container
Add 3 parts activated charcoal powder into the container
Optional- A few drops of edible peppermint oil
Mix until completely combined
Wet toothbrush
Dip toothbrush bristles in the mixture
Brush teeth as usual
Recipe Note
Note; the dry mixture will not foam or lather the same way commercial toothpaste does to ensure the proper functioning of the toothpaste ensure the toothbrush bristles are wet thoroughly.
