Descripción
Porridge Oats are smaller rolled oats that cook in minutes for a smooth, creamy bowl – the everyday breakfast staple at our lowest price.
Rolled in the UK, they provide 11.9g of protein and 10g of fibre per 100g, including beta-glucan, the soluble fibre that occurs naturally in oats. The finer flake softens quickly and blends easily, making it as useful in baking as it is at breakfast.
Best for
- Fast, creamy weekday porridge
- Blitzing into oat flour for pancakes and cookies
- Smoothies, crumble toppings and oaty bakes
- Feeding a household on a budget
FAQ
Porridge or jumbo oats? Porridge oats are smaller and faster-cooking, turning soft and creamy. Jumbo Oats are the whole rolled groat – chewier and slower, better for overnight oats, granola and flapjacks.
Is there an organic version? Yes – Organic Porridge Oats are the certified-organic equivalent at a slightly higher price.
Suitable for coeliacs? No – oats are naturally gluten free, but these are not certified uncontaminated. Choose Organic Gluten Free Porridge Oats instead.
Cook with double the quantity of liquid to oats and a pinch of salt – use milk for an extra creamy bowl.
Available in 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg and 25kg packs – the 25kg sack suits cafés and refill stores. Also available as a Stock & Prep 900g value bag.
